Members, join us to learn about the career and photography of CCP member, Michael Jorgensen. Michael Jorgensen will be sharing with us an exclusive look into his current photography work and how his previous career as a Creative Director of celebrated cosmetic and fashion brands such as Lancome, Giorgio Armani, YSL, Ralph Lauren, and Viktor and Rolf has influenced and shaped his work over time.
Michael was born in Seattle and currently resides in New York City and Tucson, AZ part time. His early creative interests included drawing, model building and photography. After moving to New York City, he spent a number of years working in the cosmetic industry as Creative Director for a variety of brands.
Taking his design background into the world of photography he is interested in the graphic nature of the world. Michael's interest is in making images of human creations (architecture / signage and interiors) and of the human history and culture they express.
As a photographer, he wants his presence to be unobtrusive offering his viewer a glimpse of the undisturbed layers of history.
