Elizabeth Ferrer, guest curator for Louis Carlos Bernal: Retrospectiva, will present a book talk on Louis Carlos Bernal: Monografía during the 2025 Tucson Festival of Books. Becky Senf, Center for Creative Photography’s Chief Curator, will moderate the discussion.
Following the presentation, Ferrer will sign copies of the book, available for $50, at the UA Campus Store tent on the Mall.
Louis Carlos Bernal: Retrospectiva presents some 125 photographs by the pioneering Chicanx photographer active in the 1970s and 1980s, focusing on his moving portrayals of Mexican American people living in the barrios of Tucson and throughout the Southwest.
