Thursday, September 24, join us for a members-only print viewing from the CCP’s collection hosted by Dr. Netzin Steklis and Dr. Dieter Steklis — both faculty in the University of Arizona School of Animal & Comparative Biomedical Sciences — along with CCP Chief Curator Dr. Rebecca Senf.
Attendees will see a special selection of animal-related prints that are not on display Animality: 100 Years of Photographs, including photographs by Ansel Adams, John Gutmann, Ylla, Elliot Erwitt, Edward Weston, Richard Avedon, and others. Drs. Netzin and Dieter Steklis, both primatologists, will offer insight into, and anecdotes about, the animal contents of the images.
Together with Dr. Senf, the three will discuss the curatorial process that led Animality, which was created in collaboration with seven University of Arizona honors students who participated in the Steklis’s Fall 2025 course, Human and Animal Interrelationships.
Please note that this event will be offered at two times:
Thursday, September 24, from 5:30–6:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 24, from 6:45–7:45 p.m.
See the most recent members’ email newsletter for a links to RSVP. Or, contact Aidan Avery, aidanavery@arizona.edu.
Should space be available, registration will be opened to the public.
