Conservation Department

Inside the Conservation Lab

Established in 2012, the Conservation Department collaborates with colleagues in the archive, curatorial, facilities, imaging and registration departments to ensure the long-term preservation of the Center’s collections. The department’s primary activities include preventive conservation, research, and conservation treatment. The department also contributes to the education and training of emerging photograph conservators by offering graduate-level internships.
