Join us for a day of artmaking and community at the CCP! Explore the current exhibition, Making a Life in Photography: Rollie McKenna, and come away inspired to make your own work. Activities like “abnormal architecture” and “glue the haiku” will encourage you to use your words, hands, and imagination to investigate how you view both landscape and language.
In addition to art-making activities throughout the day, violinist Yixuan Lai will perform at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. in the CCP Galleries. The performances will last 30 minutes each. Yixuan is a violinist and violist currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Violin Performance in the School of Music at the University of Arizona.
Plus, see the newly restored 1965 film, The Days of Dylan, by Rollie McKenna, which will be playing on repeat in the CCP auditorium throughout the festivities.
When Museum Day comes to an end, the creativity continues with our SNAP! event. A Social Night of Art and Photography begins at 4:30 p.m., where you can create your very own still life inspired by our guest speaker, Alanna Airitam.
