Explore the art of hand-coloring photographs in this creative workshop inspired by historical photographic practices. Using chalk pastels, participants will add soft layers of color to black-and-white photographic reproductions, transforming monochrome images into vivid works of art. Visitors will learn how photographers and artists once enhanced photographs before the advent of color film. Participants will leave with a uniquely personalized photograph that combines photography and drawing in unexpected ways. No prior experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided.
This event is free is open to the public.
