Explore photography through texture, pattern, and stitch in this hands-on workshop combining photographs with embroidery techniques. Using embroidery thread, participants will sew directly onto photographic prints, adding lines, shapes, and decorative details that transform the image in unexpected ways. Visitors are welcome to bring a favorite photograph from home or used one provided to personalize their creation. Inspired by contemporary artists who use thread to alter and reinterpret photographs, this workshop invites participants to be creative and experiment through hand stitching. Participants will leave with a one-of-a-kind artwork that blends photography, drawing, and textile practices. No prior sewing experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided.
This event is free and open to the public.
