Two Men and a Mission: A celebration of Images by Dr. John P. Schaefer and Ansel Adams

5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16, 2019

Dr. John P. Schaefer will discuss his relationship with Ansel Adams and present a print viewing featuring the White Dove of the Desert. This event is co-hosted by the Patronato San Xavier and the Center for Creative Photography.

Supporters from both organizations will be invited to participate in a short presentation led by Dr. Schaefer, a print viewing, and a short reception.

Dr. John P. Schaefer currently holds the position of President Emeritus at the University of Arizona, where he has taught and researched for over 20 years. Dr. Schaefer also opened the school’s Center for Creative Photography with Ansel Adams in 1975. He has recently been recognized by the U.S. Postal Service by having his photographic collection known as Cactus Flowers Forever Stamps distributed for sale throughout the United States.
