CCP Summer Series: Through the [Looking] Glass Plate

When

1 p.m. to 4 p.m. July 27, 2019

Join us on the fourth Saturday of each month at 1:00pm for the CCP Summer Series, programmed for families of all generations, all definitions, and all imaginations. Participate in drop-in photo-art workshops, explore the exhibitions through gallery activities, and more!

On July 27 at 1:00pm, the CCP Summer Series warms up with “Through The [Looking] Glass Plate” by examining the role of glass in photography. With Sonoran Glass School, harness the beauty of Tucson’s summer heat by designing your own glass mosaics, learning about glass fusing and abstract glass photography. These colored sheet glass creations are sure to please people of all ages. Western Photographic Historical Society’s ambrotype demonstrations present a unique opportunity to uncover the historic process behind photographs on glass. On the Center's second floor, find an exclusive print viewing with educational materials that explores photographer's long fascination with glass.

Family-friendly snacks will be provided, or self-packed snacks are welcome in our public foyer. The CCP Summer Series is free and fantastical, could very well be your favorite summer plans ever, and no preregistration is required.

There is free event parking off of N Palm Dr via E 2nd St.
