"The Hidden Life of Trees" Screening at the Loft Cinema

When

7 p.m. April 19, 2022

In partnership with the Loft Cinema, the Center for Creative Photography and the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research are pleased to collaborate for the Loft's signature series, Science on Screen, for the screening of The Hidden Life of Trees. Thanks to the generous support of Max McCauslin, the film will begin with an introduction by Dr. Kelly Heilman, Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Arizona, and is being shown in conjunction with CCP's current exhibition trees stir in their leaves. Based on Peter Wohlleben’s international bestseller, this eye-opening, stunningly-photographed documentary explores the secret world of trees.

Science on Screen creatively pairs screenings of classic, cult, science fiction, and documentary films with lively presentations by notable experts from the world of science and technology. Each film is used as a jumping-off point for a speaker to introduce current research or technological advances in a manner that engages popular culture audiences.
